A 2D Space ship unit for any type of space-cute video game. Art, rigged, and animated using Procreate and Spine2D.
Insect-like Ship: Idle animation and rough-pack of the images.
Laser turret and cannon bomb animations. I did't disconnect the fx from the rig, but going forward those would be handled separately.
Skeletal Action.
The Idle and Simple Shoot Animations. The wing action was the most fun to work with and try and figure out. Idle animations are a great place to explore the base personality of a thing.

The majority of my Spine animations start in Procreate on my old iPad. Once I've drawn out an Idea I build it piece by piece at the start instead of cutting it up afterward. I'm thinking of the rig from the first steps. The real fun is sketching out FX.
